Job functions:
Primary responsibilities include technical support and repair of electronic devices including but not limited to: construction laser levels and optical devices, machine positioning control systems and GPS components. Inspection, troubleshooting, repairing equipment and accessories to manufacturer specifications including quality control testing of new units prior to delivery to the customer. Phone and on-line technical support for hardware is a key task for this position. Responsible for warranty work and processing appropriate paperwork. Strict inventory accountability of all parts and components is a vital responsibility of this position. Assist in shipping and receiving as needed and front counter customer service..

Basic qualifications:
Basic electronic and mechanical aptitude required including soldering, reading electrical/wiring
schematics and computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word). Ability to learn new hardware and software programs/ configurations quickly is a must. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with customers and the ability to work in a fast paced environment required. Heavy equipment background and mechanical knowledge of hydraulics a plus.Other qualifications:

Experience :
Direct experience not required but experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electronic equipment desired. Familiarity with computers and strong communication skills is required and experience operating heavy equipment and hydraulic knowledge of this type of machinery is a plus.

Education:
Post-secondary education (Technical/Trade school, AA degree) or equivalent experience of 2yrs minimum required in DC electrical, component repair, mechanics or similar field of work.

Additional Information:
Must be able to lift 65+ lbs. Overhead lifting and stacking may be required at times. Applicant must possess a valid California State Driver’s license and a clean driving record.
