THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT



RECOVERY- North Fork planning area road maintenance contract, Gifford Pinchot NF, Cowlitz valley Ranger District, Lewis and Skamania County, Randle, Washington.



THE PURPOSE of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-0489-S-10-0200 on or about February 5, 2010, for the North Fork planning area road maintenance contract, Gifford Pinchot NF, Cowlitz valley Ranger District, Lewis and Skamania County, Randle, Washington. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after February 5, 2010, to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation.



PROJECT DESCRIPTION. The U.S. Forest Service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 6 has a requirement for North Fork planning area road maintenance contract Gifford Pinchot NF, Cowlitz valley Ranger District, Lewis and Skamania County, Randle, Washington. Road maintenance will consist of thinning, tree removal, culvert replacement, road repair and other as stated in statement of work and bid schedule.



The contractor shall supply all services, labor, equipment and material, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals except those items, if any, listed as Government-furnished property needed to perform the following: North Fork planning area road maintenance contract in compliance with its terms, specifications, and provisions of the contract.



The Government intends to award a negotiated firm fixed price contract.



PROJECT LOCATION – Cowlitz Valley Ranger District office is located at milepost 116.1 on U.S. Highway 12, approximately 1 mile east of Randle, WA. All road maintenance work will be done within the Cowlitz Valley Ranger area of responsibility.



PARTICIPATION. This acquisition is determined to be under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and posted for full and open competition. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 237310. The size standard is $33.5 Million. The solicitation with specifications and Davis Bacon Contract Act wage rates will be posted to the FedBizOps website www.fbo.gov.
