THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT

Recovery - Install Silver Creek and Wilamee Bridges, SW Washington, Gifford Pincho NF.

The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-0489-S-10-0390 on or about March 29, 2010 for the Recovery - Install Silver Creek and Wilamee Bridges, SW Washington, Gifford Pincho NF. If the solicitation is released it will be released through this FEBBIZOPPS website and prospective bidder should visit this FedBizOps website from time to time on or around March 29, 2010, to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation.

Project Description. The US Forest service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 6 has a requirement for the Installation of Silver Creek and Wilamee Bridges. The contract requires the removal of the existing bridges and the installation of Government Provided prefabricated bridges at the two sites above.

The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, and material, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and all incidentals except those items listed as Government Furnished Property needed to perform the following: Installation of Silver Creek and Wilamee Bridges in compliance with its terms, specifications and provisions.

The Government intends to award a negotiated Firm Fixed Price contract.

The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000.

Project Location - two sites

Site One - Silver Creek Bridge - off of Forest Road 47

Site Two - Wilame Creek Bridge off of USFS Rd 4715

Both sites are in SW Washington

Participation - This project is Set aside under the Small Business Demonstration Program. The NAICS Code for this project is 237310. The size standard is $33.5M. Contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). The Solicitation with specification and Davis Bacon Act Wage Rates will be posted to the FedBizOps website, www.fbo.gov.
