Presented by Todd Carlson, Carlson Takeoff and Carlson Construction product manager in Carlson Software’s Watertown, Mass., offices, the training will cover both Takeoff basics and also more advanced roads and trenching.
Day one of the training, Wednesday, March 14, will cover Takeoff Basics, including the following:
Importing and working with .dwgs, PDFs, and paper plans;
Determining cut/fill, subgrade, strata and topsoil volumes;
Utilizing quality control tools and reports; and
Creating field data for stakeout and machine control.
Day two of the training, Thursday, March 15, will cover Roads and Trenching with Takeoff, including:
Conquering cross-section estimating from paper or PDFs;
Making models from horizontal alignments, vertical profiles and templates;
Determining trench cut, backfill, and pipe quantities.
Carlson Takeoff is a site/road estimating and data prep software that provides better reporting, plus more power and compatibility than others on the market. Use it for fast and accurate CAD-based project estimating and, once you get the job, save both time and money with its quantity and quality control.
Cost for both days of training is $950 per first person attending and $650 for each additional staff member from the same company. Or opt to attend just one day of the training for $550 for the first person attending and $350 for each additional company employee.
