In this Autodesk University 2009 slidecast hosted by Ralph Bond, Karen Weiss, technology marketing manager (transportation) for the AEC Solutions division of Autodesk, discusses a special Autodesk University field trip hosted by Trimble and Autodesk. As Karen explains, the purpose of the field trip was to show how model information from AutoCAD Civil 3D can now be fed into Trimbles software for GPS machine control. Participants in the field trip experienced firsthand loading a Civil 3D model into the Trimble software, and the event concluded with an in-field demonstration of GPS machine control land prep.
