RECOVERY-The proposed contract consists of filling the northern portion of the Slip G Area to create land. This work includes includes construction of rock dike, dredging, fill operations, wick drain installation, settlement monitoring, etc. Also, deepening of the Port of Long Beach (POLB) Turning Basin to -76 ft.--approximately 600,000 cubic yards; dredging POLB's West Basin IR Site 7--approximately 600,000 cubic yards, and removal of 2 submerged barges; dredging of Catalina Landing--approximately 50,000 cubic yards, and some demolition work; dredging of surcharge material from the West Anchorage Borrow Site. All dredge material to be placed in the Pier G North Slip Fill. All dredging, except Catalina Landing, shall be electric powered. The estimated cost range of this project is over $10,000,000.00.
