Services are required for site-work, installation of utility infrastructures and construction of a complete and usable Armed Forces Reserve Center (96,246 SF), a maintenance/training building (3,852 SF), flammable storage building (510 SF) and an unheated storage building (8,633 SF). Project location is a twenty-eight (28) acre site located at 9920 E. 59th Street, Lawrence, Indiana. The Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC) will be a specially designed Reserve Center of permanent masonry type construction, brick and concrete block units with concrete floors, and a standing seam metal roof. A two-story structure with mechanical and electrical equipment. Functional areas include assembly hall, classrooms, library, kitchen, break area, vending area, toilets and shower facilities, flammable materials storage, recruiting office, audio visual storage, physical fitness area, controlled waste handling facility. Outside supporting facilities include military and privately-owned vehicle parking, fencing, sidewalks, exterior fire protection, outside lighting, access roads, detached facility sign, wash platform, and flagpole. Energy management control systems, high efficiency motors, lighting, and HVAC systems will be incorporated throughout the facilities. Total estimate for this project is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The solicitation package to include plans and specifications are available without charge by requesting W912L9-09-B-0002 through the FEDBIZOPPS website after 10 March 2009. All responsible sources may submit a bid for the governments consideration. Please note that all contractors and potential contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. For instructions see http://www.ccr.gov. The prebid meeting will be held on 23 March 2009 at 10:00AM at the project site. Access to the site is open to the public. Last date/time for requests for information (RFIs) is 5:00PM, 13 April 2009. Bid opening is set for 23 April 2009 at 12:30PM at the Indiana National Guard Joint Forces Headquarters, 2002 South Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46241-4839, Bldg 1, Ahner Auditorium.
